Terry was recently appointed the academic director for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, which provides comprehensive scholarships to students from Sub-Saharan Africa.
In the words of UBC Forestry’s Dean, Rob Kozak, “Terry is incredibly well positioned to provide leadership and strategic oversight for this important university-wide initiative. Not only does he bring a wealth of experience working on the African continent to the table, but he was instrumental in the Faculty of Forestry’s recent success in procuring funds to support 15 to 17 young African scholars per year in our Professional Masters programs. Our hope is to build on this successful partnership by creating a research-based initiative with MCF in the near future – Terry will play a key role in this as well.”
